Microshading FAQ

What is Microshading?
Microshading is a 2 hour eyebrow procedure that constructs a fuller yet natural dimension and perfect definition using a small nano -needle and small amount of vegetable based ink. Ideal for anyone that wants to enhance their brow, shape, size, and color naturally.

Is it permanent?
Microshading is semi-permanent and will last approximately up to 18 months with a touch-up required each year.

Is a tattoo gun used or manual tool?
A small nano-needle is used.

Is it safe?
Microshading is a safe process that is done by a certified Microshading professional, Laila Shahryar.

How do you select the color and shape?
Similar to our lash extension process, a consultation will be conducted. During the consultation, we will discuss how you traditionally wear your brows, color preferences, and the ideal shape.

Is the process of Microshading painful?
A numbing cream is applied to the brow area prior to the procedure to minimize the amount of discomfort one may occur. Microshading is non-invasive and not as painful as traditional tattooing.

What is the healing process?
Brows should completely heal with the first 7-10 days after the initial procedure.

What will my brows look like while they are healing?
During the healing process, brows will appear slightly darker until fully healed. Light scabbing and crust is completely normal yet not very noticeable. We suggest not applying makeup to the brow area until completely healed.

What aftercare products should I use?

We highly suggest applying the cold cream supplied by Blushbaby for the first week after the initial procedure.

How long should I wait before my first touch up appointment?
To keep the brows defined and full, a touch every 12 month is recommended.
